(Dale's grandfather had emigrated from Yugoslavia in 1912 and began a successful commercial fishing business in Alaska and Washington.) Dale obtained his first US Coast Guard Masters license and began working with small passenger vessels in Alaska and Washington. Lifetime pleasure boating, 30 Years as a commercial fisherman, 15 Years whale watching and a U.S. Coast Guard Master.
