Cabin
"Organic, Non toxic,
Artistic Island retreat"
Two secluded,
independent residences with gallery/meeting room. Lapis Lane Guesthouse
& Cabin offers its guests privacy with the warmth and casual hospitality
of island living. Whether looking for a weekend away for two, or a small
gathering for a workshop; Lapis Lane offers quiet relaxing atmosphere away
from the stress of our regular lives. Lapis Lane is located on the western
side of Whidbey Island, overlooking the Maxwelton valley. Situated on acreage
with large fir, cedar and maple trees and an organic garden and orchard.
Lapis Lane tries to be self sustainable stewards of the land. The garden
supplies most of the yearly produce for our personal home, Guesthouse,
and the Cabin. Heirloom vegetable and flowers give an abundance of healthy
meals and beautiful bouquets. The homes are furnished with artwork much
of it created by Dimitri Michaelides in our own glass studio.
Leave your
troubles behind and enjoy island living see majestic old fir trees, and
hear owls, frogs and coyotes. During the day see bald eagles soar overhead.
During August and September, pick buckets of juicy wild blackberries. Only
natural low/ non perfume cleaning products are used throughout the homes
and meeting room. The Cabin is one bedroom, with a queen size bed and 100%
cotton sheets and down comforters. There are hardwood floors with throw
rugs for our guests with sensitivities
to carpets.
The
Guesthouse
The Guesthouse
can accommodate up to 6 guests, in it’s 2 bedrooms and fold out sofa. From
the southwest facing deck of the Guesthouse there is a beautiful view of
sunsets, Puget Sound and Olympic Mountains. A steam bath and Jacuzzi tub
await you. All bed linens are 100% cotton with fluffy down comforters.
The kitchen is stocked with breakfast choices and seasonal fruits and vegetables
from our organic garden and orchard.
The house
is heated with radiant floor heating. From the southwest facing deck of
the Guesthouse there is
a beautiful
view of sunsets, Puget Sound and Olympic Mountains. All bed linens are
100% cotton with fluffy down comforters.

The
Cabin
The cabin
is one bedroom, with a queen size bed and 100% cotton sheets and down comforters.
There are hardwood floors with throw rugs for our guests with sensitivities
to carpets. In the living room there is a cozy
gas fireplace
to curl up next to on our cool Pacific coast evening. The Cabin is furnished
with original art work. The Cabin has a full kitchen that is stocked with
breakfast choices and seasonal fruits and vegetables from our organic garden
and orchard. Roast marshmallows over a fire in the outdoor fire pit and
BBQ on an outdoor charcoal grill. The couch can transform into a bed for
a third guest if needed.

Cancellation:
We
have a 20% cancellation policy. With less than one
week's notice,
there is no refund on deposit.
No refunds
for early departure/No-shows. We are a small business and
last minute
cancellations impact us greatly.

Directions
From Seattle, drive north
on I-5 and take Hwy 405/525 exit, go west on
Hwy 525 to the Mulkilteo / Clinton
ferry dock. Ferries depart on the
half hour to Clinton. Follow Highway
525 North approximately 2-3 miles
to the first stop light, turn left
on Cultus Bay road. Drive about 3
miles, turn right on French road,
and follow about 1.5 miles, turn left
on to Lapis Lane road. Drive up
lane, stay to the left and the
Guesthouse and Cabin are on left
side.
From the north, take I-5 South
to Anacortes and follow the signs to
Deception Pass. Cross the Deception
Pass Bridge onto Whidbey Island and
head south on Highway 20/525 for
approximately 40 miles to Maxwelton
Road, turn right and head South-west.
Drive about 3.5 miles to French
road turn left and continue about
1.5 miles more. Lapis Lane is on the
right. Follow up hill stay to left
and the Guesthouse and Cabin are on
the left.
