Inn recalls its patriotic past!

About
Fort Casey Inn
Fort Casey Inn
brings romantic patriotism to Whidbey Island, Washington. Built as officer's
housing just before the First World War, the Fort Casey Inn recalls its
patriotic past. This inviting row of Whidbey Island cottages overlooks
Washington's Puget Sound. Relive the past with charm and comfort on Whidbey
Island at Fort Casey Inn.
Built originally
in 1909 for the then active defensive installation of Fort Casey, the Inn
is located next door to Fort
Casey State Park with its bunkers, lighthouse, 10-inch disappearing
guns, public beaches and trails. Spectacular views of the Straits of Juan
de Fuca, Olympic Mountains, Cascade Mountains, and the San Juan Islands
are in walking distance. The Inn also overlooks Crockett Lake, which is
a natural bird sanctuary and Admiralty Bay on Puget Sound.
Each Fort Casey
Inn house features patriotic memorabilia. Military accents are softened
with furnishings and accessories with a gentler, feminine appeal. Evocative
treasures adorn the homes such as postcards sent by soldiers overseas to
their sweethearts at home.
Each home (excludes
Eagles Nest) sleeps 4 guests, has 2 bedrooms, a bath, living area with
wood burning stove, a large farm kitchen with breakfast area.
The Eagles
Nest has a setting area, bath with claw foot tub, and a queen German bed
which features a quilt appliquéd with an eagle and stars. There
is no kitchen in the Eagles Nest.
Relive the
past with charm and comfort in our large two bedroom, living area, bath
and farm kitchen accommodations. Guests have access to board games, picnic
tables, hiking trails and access to the beach. The inviting row of Fort
Casey Inn cottages together sleep up to 35. |
