Black Bears Cabin
Black Bear's Cabin
is an authentic log cabin built in 1937 on the shore of Whidbey Island.
Located 4 1/2 miles south of Coupeville, (at the northern tip of a long
sand spit that forms Race Lagoon) it overlooks Saratoga Passage, Mt. Baker,
Camano Island and the Cascade Mountains.
The two bedroom,
one bath cabin is completely furnished with a microwave, dishwasher, coffee
maker and BBQ. It is also fully stocked with towels, bed linens and cooking
utensils. Enjoy picturesque views while relaxing in the hot-tub. The scenery
is ever changing and beautiful, so be sure to bring your camera. There
are species of wild ducks, geese and Blue Herons to view along with the
resident eagles you'll find soaring in the skies. Come and treat yourself
to the quiet natural beauty of Whidbey Island and make Black Bear's Cabin
a part of your vacation.
Getting here:
Whether you
may be coming from the north or south part of the island. Coming from the
North: (Deception Pass Bridge) Follow the hwy past Coupeville to Morris
Road. After Morris Rd. makes a sharp turn to the right, it turns into Harrington,
about1/2 mile on the left is the the cabin. Mail box #339 Coming from the
South: (Mukilteo/Clinton Ferry) Follow the main hwy up the island to the
intersection of Keystone/Port-Townsend Ferry and Race Road (about
30 miles). Turn RIGHT on Race Road. Follow it to the stop sign, go straight.
You are now on Harrington Road. It's the 6th mail box on the right, #343. |
